LOCATED IN A HOME-LIKE SOUTHERN SETTING

YOUR EVENT WITHOUT FEAR OF LIMITATIONS

Magnolia House and Garden is located in historic Jonesboro, Georgia, where the old South mingles with the 21st Century cosmopolitan of Atlanta. The Magnolia House and Garden offers a traditional setting in a renovated space infused with state-of-the-art equipment, forward-thinking professionals, and innovative presentations. Our house and garden lend itself to a relaxed feeling, with open spaces filled with natural light.

The Magnolia House and Garden serves as a gateway to a normal life for women who have strayed from their families, their communities, and their God. Here the women learn new skills, earn money for their eventual return to society, and build a new life on the secure foundation of Biblical principles. They dedicate themselves to serving your needs no matter what the occasion.

Magnolia House and Garden is an alcohol and smoke free event center. In addition, we are an all-inclusive event center thus no outside food and/or catering is permitted.

THE HOUSE

The Magnolia House and Garden was crafted from a residence that had fallen on hard times. After nearly a year of renovations - which included the installation of a state-of-the-art kitchen, completely new flooring, doors, windows, and bathrooms – the event center was not completely ready. The inside was almost totally new but the outside needed work, lots of work.

Greenhouse

The Greenhouse, or as it was known in the late 1800's the Looney-Hanes House, was originally built to house the president of, the now ceased, Middle Georgia College. The house was built by Mr. Elijah Hanes, a farmer who gained a fortune during the Dahlonega Gold Rush of the 1820's. In addition to housing the college president, it was also used to board some of the male students attending the college.

THE GARDEN

The Magnolia House would not be the same without its Garden. This small yet stately gardens are populated with the brilliant colors of nature, including, of course, an abundance of Magnolia trees. Your guests will mingle with delicate Indigos, stroll past rows of Azaleas, be enchanted by beds of Roses, and be encircled with all the captivating fragrances of the myriad flowers.
